Giddy-up!

Sunday morning is beautiful—worship, fellowship, and preaching God’s Word. But we've missed the point entirely if our faith stops at the pew. In short, it’s time to saddle up and head into the harvest. Giddy-up!
Too many believers see "church" as the finish line instead of the starting gate. But Jesus never called us to sit and soak. He called us to go and make disciples. He didn’t say, “Come to church and enjoy the show.” He said, “Follow Me, and I will make you fishers of men.” That’s a call to movement—into our neighborhoods, workplaces, schools, and homes.
The harvest is ready, but the laborers are few—not because there aren’t enough Christians, but because too many find comfort in the pew. The mission of Jesus was always about making disciples who make disciples. It wasn’t about programs, buildings, or Sunday events. It was about people—ordinary people—hearing God, obeying Him, and helping others do the same.
According to hearandobey.com,
“God’s plan to reach the world is not through programs or buildings but through people who will hear and obey Him.”
That’s where you come in. If you belong to Jesus, you’re already called. You don’t need special credentials or permission. The same Spirit who raised Jesus from the dead lives in you. Your job is simple: listen to His voice, obey His Word, and invest in others who will do the same.
When everyday believers take responsibility for the Great Commission, entire communities can be transformed.
That’s the harvest. It’s not just about conversions—it’s about multiplication. And that doesn’t happen by accident. It happens when people get out of the pew and into the field. When we stop measuring success by how many attend, we start measuring it by how many are making disciples.
So, what are you waiting for? Sunday morning is the rally cry, not the retreat. Let’s stop being spectators and start being sowers. The Gospel isn’t something we keep inside four walls. It’s something we carry into the world.
Jesus said the harvest is plentiful. The only thing missing is laborers. It’s time to move.
Giddy-up. The harvest is calling.
